Rob has concentrated his practice in civil litigation for more than 37 years. Over the span of his legal career, he has represented plaintiffs and defendants at the trial court and the appellate level in a wide variety of real estate, commercial, business and personal disputes.

Rob began practicing law at Goldstein & Manello in June, 1977 after teaching for two years as a "Law and Humanities Fellow" at Temple University Law School and Temple University. He practiced continuously at G&M until 2000, when the firm merged with Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis. During his years at G&M, Rob served in many administrative capacities including Chair of the Litigation Department and three years as Managing Partner. While at Schnader, Rob was head of the Technology Committee and was a member of the firm's Ethics Committee.

After Schnader closed its Boston office at the end of 2002, Rob joined Seyfarth Shaw, where he was a member of the firm's Commercial Litigation and Construction Practice Groups.

Rob's practice is diverse and he has been counsel in a number of leading cases in Massachusetts and in other jurisdictions where he has practiced pro hac vice.

Rob is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Massachusetts. He was recently admitted to practice before all state courts in Maine. Rob is also admitted to practice before the First Circuit, the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Court of Claims, and the United States Supreme Court. He was raised in Newton and has resided in Wellesley since 1981 with his wife, Deborah, and their three children.
